Rohit Sharma shatters Don Bradman's long standing record after his double century at Ranchi

Indian Cricketer Rohit Sharma, who is playing at top of his form in the ongoing freedon series against South Africa has slammed two centuries and a double century. He loosks well on course to clinch the man of the series award.

Rohit Sharma’s best ever Test score of 212 runs helped him surpass Australia’s batting legend Don Bradman’s record for the highest Test average at home after 10 plus innings. Rohit is now averaging 99.84 at home sailing past Don Bradman’s average of 98.22.

Rohit has cumulated 1,298 runs in 18 innings in red ball cricket at home, which includes sic hundreds and five fifties. His scores in the last nine innings are 82*, 51*, 102*, 65, 50*, 176, 127, 14 and 212.

The Mumbai batsman scored his first double hundred during the third Test in Ranchi, he has played 30 Test for the men in blue, amassing 2,019 runs at an average of 46.95 so far.

In the ongoing freedom series between the two heavyweights, Rohit Sharma also shattered the record of most sixes in a Test series with 19 maximums. The previous record was held by West Indian Shimron Hetmyer who had 15 hits over the fence against Bangladesh in 2018-19.
