Indian opener Rohit Sharma joined the elite list of players with 8,000 ODI runs. Rohit achieved this feat in the fifth ODI against Australia, he has not only entered the prestigious category but has also become the third fastest along with Sourav Ganguly, to achieve this milestone in his 200th inning.
Rohit Sharma scored a fantastic 95 runs in the fourth ODI in Mohali and had 193 run partnership stand along with opener Shikhar Dhawan. Rohit now has 8,000 runs from 206 ODI matches and has an average of 47.35. Rohit has 22 ODI centuries and 41 half-centuries with the highest score of 264 runs.
Both Australia and India will like to win the ODI series. For India its the last bilateral ODI series before the World Cup and for Australia, this could be a chance to gain their confidence back after streak of poor series performances.
