Royal Challengers Banglore's key batsman Quinton De Cock is set to miss tomorrow's match between CSK and RCB. The Challengers need to compulsorily win the match in order to keep their hopes alive for the playoffs.
The RCB are set to meet CSK tomorrow in Pune.
“Quinton is away from this game. He has returned home for a wedding. He's unavailable for this match,” Daniel Vettori told reporters here on the eve of the match.
"Colin (De Grandhomme) did a great job in the last game. I think the 20-odd runs he scored was the reason why we won the game. Really satisfied with how Colin has come into the team.
"Mandeep (Singh) has been consistent. Finishing plays a part when you don't do well at the top. We have done well at the top with the experienced four batsmen generally batting well," said Vettori when asked whether finishing has been a concern for the side.
The head coach of RCB, Daniel Vettori also expressed satisfaction with RCB's bowling in the last match win of 14 runs against Mumbai Indians.
"I think we got our combination right. (Tim) Southee has been exceptional, (Mohammad) Siraj has been improving and (Yuzvendra) Chahal and Umesh (Yadav) are tight as ever," the RCB head coach said.
The RCB head coach Vettori maintained while batting was a key factor in deciding RCB's performance, the team also needs to pay special attention to the bowling department. Tim Southee returned to his form in the last match conceding only 25 runs in his 4 overs' spell, he also took two wickets and was awarded the man of the match award.
