Rashid Khan

Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan is one of the best bowlers in the world but his bowling against England in World Cup came under scrutiny after he went for 110 runs from 9 overs. Rashid Khan now holds the record for most runs conceded by a bowler in a World Cup match and second most runs conceded by a bowler in one-day international cricket.

Rashid Khan also became the bowler to concede the most number of sixes (11) in an ODI match. Michael Lewis of Australia is the bowler to concede the most number of runs (113) in an ODI match against South Africa in 2006. Wahab Riaz of Pakistan who jointly holds the record with Rashid Khan, conceded 110 runs in 2016 against England. England also posted the highest total of World Cup 2019 breaking their own record of 386 runs against Bangladesh.

England posted a record total of 397 runs at Old Trafford, Manchester and Eoin Morgan hit the fastest 100 off just 57 balls in World Cup 2019. Morgan also hit the most number of sixes (17) in an innings to break Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle’s record of 16 sixes.
