Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was inspired by Muslim players who played the match while fasting. Dhawan applauded their commitment and efforts as they stepped onto field in a crucial IPL 2019 match while fasting. Sunrisers Hyderabad players Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Khaleel Ahmed were on Ramzan fast when they played eliminator against Delhi Capitals on Thursday.
Shikhar Dhawan took to his official Twitter handle to praise Rashid and Nabi. Dhawan wrote, “Wishing everyone #RamadanKareem. So proud of them! It is not easy to fast the whole day & then play the match. But they make it look effortless! An inspiration for their country & the world cricket! Your energy motivates everyone to dream big. May Allah's blessings be with you!”
“Brother thank you so much for your kind words. They mean allot to me. Always good to see you and catch up! Keep smiling as always and hope to see you soon!,” Rashid Khan replied to Dhawan.

Rashid, Nabi and Khaleel performed exceptionally well in their last match but unfortunately Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the match. Both Rashid and Khaleel took two wickets each while Nabi scored 20 runs with the bat. Hyderabad lost the closely fought match by 2 wickets as Delhi won their first play-off match in IPL history. Delhi will now play Chennai Super Kings on May 10 in Visakhapatnam.
