Indian youngster Prithvi Shaw failed to make a contribution with the bat in the ongoing tour game against Australia in Sydney. However, the opener proved himself to some extent on Monday, by pulling off a stunner at backward square leg to dismiss Tim Paine on Day 2 of the practice match.
Veteran bowler Umesh Yadav delivered a short ball and Paine pulled it, but didn't connect well enough. The ball seemed to be going just over Shaw, who was stationed at square leg, but the 21-year-old leapt, stuck his right hand out and plucked it out of the air, much to the delight of his teammates.
Good catch by Shaw!

Commentators were wordy in their praise for the youngster, with one of them terming it an "unbelievable grab".
Shaw's catch was imperative for the side in context of the match. Tim Paine and Cameron Green had bailed their team out of an uncertain situation at 98/5 by putting on 104 runs stand for the sixth wicket.
However, that brilliant partnership came to an end all thanks to Prithvi Shaw.
On Day 1, the men in blue -- consisting of India's Test specialists and some other players -- won the toss, and chose to bat. However, both openers Shubman Gill and Shaw were dismissed for a duck.
Ajankya Rahane went on to score a brilliant hundred, ending the day at 237/8
On Day 2, the men in blue declared at 247 for nine with Rahane remaining unbeaten on 117.
