Pakistan cricket team is the most unpredictable in the world right now and they will maintain the tag after they bounced back against England in their second World Cup match. Pakistan was brutally thrashed by West Indies in their first match where they lost by 7 wickets after they were bundled out for 105 runs.
Pakistan registered a record win against England yesterday when they set the highest target for the host in World Cup history. Pakistan put up 348 runs on board after they were asked to bat first by Eoin Morgan. Four Pakistani batsmen scored half-century with Mohammad Hafeez scoring the highest for them.
Opener Imam-ul-Haq scored 44 runs before he was dismissed by Moeen Ali, Babar Azam scored 66 off 63. Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 55 off 44 before he was dismissed by Chris Woakes. Fakhar Zaman was looking good as he scored 36 runs before Moeen Ali dismissed him.
For England, Joe Root and Jos Buttler scored centuries but it was in vain as their team lost to Pakistan by 14 runs. Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz took three wickets to his name, with Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir taking two wickets each.
Pakistan will play their next match against Sri Lanka on June 7, while England will play against Bangladesh on June 8.
