Australian cricket team was head and shoulders above the visiting Pakistani side by an innings and five runs in Brisbane to sew up a 1-0 lead in the two match Test series on Sunday.
While some Pakistani cricketers fell through at the Gabba, five of them won many hearts on social media after English commentator Alison Mitchell spilled the beans of the soulstirring anecdote, featuring Yasir Shah, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah.
Giving an account of the tale about the Indian taxi driver, who drove her to the stadium in morning, Alison Mitchell stated, "A couple of days ago, he was called to the Pakistan team hotel and picked up five of the Pakistan players. They wanted to go to an Indian restaurant for a meal. He drove them to an Indian restaurant."
The commentator revealed that when the Pakistani players gave the taxi driver his fare, he refused to charge them. However, the cricketers returned the favour by inviting the driver to dinner with them.
"He showed the photograph on his phone of him sitting at the table at the restaurant with five members of the Pakistan cricket team," she added.
