The Pakistan Super League 2022 was shaken by a slap gate scandal, when the Lahore Qalandars bowler Haris Rauf slapped his teammate Kamran Ghulam for dropping an important catch during a match against Peshawar Zalmi.
The unfortunate incident happened when Lahore’s Rauf dismissed Peshawar Zalmi’s Mohammad Haris in the second over of the innings and the Pakistan pacer hit Ghulam while celebrating the dismissal.
Earlier, in the same over, Ghulam had left the catch of Hazratullah Zazai as Rauf seemed exasperated with the fielder.

However, Ghulam could be seen smiling even after getting slapped, but Rauf’s expressions suggested otherwise. Haris invited the outrage of the fans for his behaviour.

Peshawar skipper Wahab Riaz gave away only five runs in a super over and veteran Shoaib Malik won the game by hitting two successive boundaries off Afridi’s first two balls.
