Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar smashed every possible milestone known to man in the course of his 25 year lon career. Sachin appeared on the cricketing scene in 1989, when he featured in his first ever Test series for India with arch foes Pakistan.
A month later, he featured in his first ODI against the same opponent. Regardless of making his ODI debut in 1989, it took master blaster almost five years to score his first century in the 50 overs format.
Exactly 25 years ago, on 9th September 1994, Sachin smashed his first ton against Australia in Colombo in a World Series match, where he scored 110 runs of 130 balls.
Sachin Tendulkar smashed eight fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 84.61. His scintillating run came to a closure after he was dismissed by pacer Craig McDermott. India put up 246/8 in stipulated 50 overs, and wrapped up the rivals for 215 to win the game by 31 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar went on to score 48 more centuries in the format before he called it a day. He also scored 50 hundreds in the red ball format, becoming the only cricketer to score 100 centuries in international cricket.
Master blaster cumulated 18,426 runs in 643 ODIs, highest ever by any cricketer in the format. He also amassed 15,921 runs in the longest format of the game, most by any player.
