Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag was all praise for all-rounder Hardik Pandya before the upcoming World Cup. Sehwag has said that there is no match of Hardik Pandya in the Indian cricket team and he is irreplaceable.
Sehwag backed the Indian all-rounder over his misogynist controversy that followed by a ban and call-back from India’s tour of Australia. While speaking to cricbuzz.com Sehwag said, “There is no one even closer to Hardik Pandya's talent with both bat and ball. If there was someone even closer to him, the three-dimensional players picked by BCCI, were even closer to him, Pandya would not have made it back into the team.”
Hardik was included in India’s 15-member World Cup squad along with his good friend KL Rahul. Hardik played a crucial part in Mumbai Indians’ win. He scored 402 runs from 15 innings in the Indian Premier League 2019 at a strike rate of 191.42. His highest score in the tournament came against Kolkata Knight Riders as he hit 91. Hardik also took 14 wickets from 16 games at an average of 27.85.
Hardik Pandya had a blast this season with both bat and the ball, Virat Kohli-led team India would be hoping that he continue to take his form to the World Cup.
