Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful team in the history of Indian Premier League. But when it comes to playing against another successful team Mumbai Indians, they lose their momentum. CSK played without MS Dhoni last night but they registered their name in the list of shameful records.
Chennai Super Kings have played 26 matches against their arch rival Mumbai Indians. But in the head ti head count, Mumbai leads Chennai by 16-11. Chennai have lost more matches to Mumbai than any other team. Last night CSK also registered their lowest ever score at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium.
Chennai Super Kings were handed their first defeat of this season by Mumbai Indians at Wankhede. They broke Chennai’s winning streak. And Mumbai Indians is the team that gave Chennai their first home defeat, they broke their home match winning streak too.
Chennai Super Kings lost badly to Mumbai Indians as Mumbai defeated Chennai by 46 runs which is the highest margin of loss for CSK this season. Rohit Sharma scored his first half-century of IPL 2019, last year too, he scored his first fifty against CSK after struggling at the start of the season.
Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 155 runs with the help of Rohit Sharma’s 67 off 48 balls. Evin Lewis, Hardik Pandya, Quinton de Kock and Kieron Pollard also contributed with the bat. While on the other side CSK’s batting order collapsed as they were bundled out for 109 runs in 17.4 overs.
