Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi criticised Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his on field behaviour in a match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Criticising MS Dhoni for losing his cool and storming the field, Bishan Singh Bedi said that nobody is bigger than the game.

“Cricket was never meant to ‘look’ ugly-never mind if laws of the game are not trespassed-but certain ‘behavioural’ patterns r tantamount 2 bringing disrepute 2 game..nobody was ever bigger than the game which demands highest form of exemplary discipline from players/officials alike!,” Bedi Tweeted.

“I am aghast with media calls on Dhoni’s invasion of field as most immature protest against Umpires last night..puzzles me no end why sport scribes are petrified of honest expression against erring established stars..why even authorities are shamelessly timid-50% fine is kid-gloving MSD.!,” Bedi wrote on his Social media aacount.

The incident happened in the last over of the match after MS Dhoni was bowled out by Ben Stokes. Mitchell Santner came in and faced a slower full-toss above the waist, which the straight umpire ruled as no-ball but later withdrew it after consulting with the third umpire. Dhoni was not happy with the decision and stormed the field to argue with them.

Though, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 4 wickets, MS Dhoni lost his reputation of being calm in every situation. MS Dhoni faced a lot of criticism from former cricketers and his action was a topic of debate everywhere.
