India’s World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni distanced himself from cricket after team India’s exit from the World Cup 2019, and on Thursday the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) left the former skipper out of its Annual Player Contracts for the 2019-20 season.

The recent development has given way to fresh doubts on the future of MS Dhoni who has not featured for the Indian side since the World Cup semifinal loss against New Zealand. The BCCI on Thursday announced central contract for players for the 2019-10 season. While Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are the only players in A plus catagory, there is not spot for Dhoni in the entire list.
