Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni almost pulled off an impossible chase last night against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Twitter erupted after watching the Dhoni show and backed him for the Prime Minister’s post. MS Dhoni couldn't finish the game despite trying his best as CSK lost by just 1 run.

Don't know if he'll ever stand for an election in future. But if he does, I am going to vote for #Dhoni as my PM.

His hunger and commitment to win is second to none. He makes the impossible seem so possible. He's a damn legend. #RCBvCSK
How I wish Dhoni was standing for PM in the ongoing elections!! Imagine how he would efficiently manage India’s resources to make our nation even greater!! Dhoni as PM would be the only way to do true justice to this LEGENDARY LEADER!! #Dhoni #RCBvCSK #LokSabhaElections2019 #CSK

After winning the toss Chennai Super Kings opted to bowl first at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy stadium. Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Parthiv Patel and Virat Kohli came in to bat. Deepak Chahar picked up Kohli’s wicket in the third over for just 9 runs. AB de Villiers came in and scored a quick 25 off 19 before he was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja.
Akshdeep Nath, Moeen Ali, Marcus Stoinis all scored some quick runs but couldn’t contribute much. Parthiv Patel was the only batsman to make a half-century as he scored 37-ball 53. RCB posted 161 runs on the board, CSK needed 162.
CSK opener Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis came in to bat and Watson was dismissed in the first over itself by Dale Steyn. Suresh Raina came in and was sent back in the very next ball by Steyn. Faf du Plessis was dismissed by Umesh Yadav in the 4th over and Kedar Jadhav in the 6th. CSK were 28-4 before the first power-play ended.
Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni made some runs together before their partnership was broken by Yuzvendra Chahal. Ravindra Jadeja came in and became an unfortunate victim of a run-out after a confusion with Dhoni.
MS Dhoni was the only recognised batsman standing as he took the match to the last ball with his seven sixes and five fours. CSK needed 2 runs from 1 ball, Umesh Yadav bowled a slower wide ball to MS Dhoni which went directly to the wicket-keeper. Dhoni ran for a single in hope of a super-over but RCB’s wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel threw accurately at stumps and the non-striker Dhruv Shorey was run-out.
Virat Kohli led-RCB won the match by 1 run. The match was the most thrilling one of this year’s Indian Premier League. Twitter liked that Dhoni was back as finisher even though he couldn’t finish last night.
