Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Robin Uthappa took a hard stand for Indian women skipper Mithali Raj who was body shamed online trollers for her dress.
The captain of India's women cricket team was targeted on social networking site Twitter as people tried to school her on her dressing sense.
The captain had shared an old photo as a throwback picture on 6 September. The picture featured Mithali with three of her colleagues.
The picture was shared with a caption,”#tb #PostShootSelfie #funtimes #girlstakeover”.

While some of the people praised the picture and liked it, there was a section which needlessly trolled Mithali claiming that her dress was indecent.

But, Uthappa took on Twitter to slam the trollers and condemned the reactions of people on Mithali's photos.
Uthappa captioned his post, “Mithali Raj being treated badly by some silly minds. It's disappointing to see our culture stuck in the same rut.”
