Indian batsmam KL Rahul is all set to break a record, when team India will go face to face with the Caribbean team in the first game of the three T20Is in Lauderhill, Florida this evening.
KL Rahul, who is viewed as one of the finest batsman in the shortest format of the game is 121 runs short of becoming the seventh Indian to reach 1000 runs in T20 internationals.
If KL Rahul happens to score 121 runs in Saturday’s match against the West Indies, he will be attaining this hight in just 25 innings and will surpass Pakistan’s Babar Azam’s record of 26 innings.
Indian captain Virat Kohli had accomplished the feat in 27 innings.
Reaching the three digit mark in T20 cricket is considered to be quite difficult but the Indian opener has shown in the past that he can go past the three figures mark is the shortest format of the game, as he scored two centuries in T20I, beside smashing a ton in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Furthermore, KL Rahul had also smashed a hundred against the West Indies at the same venue.
