Kerala floods: Here's how Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sunil Chhetri, Hardik Pandya other sports persons are appealing for help
The state of Kerala battles its worst flood in nearly a century as Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a grant of Rs 500 crore. Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh announced a grant of rupees 100 crore last week.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took twitter and cited that "Kerala is facing its worst flood in 100 years. 80 dams opened, 324 lives lost and 223139 people are in about 1500+ relief camps."
Some of the country's leading sportspersons including Sachin Tendulkar,Virat Kohli, Sunil Chhetri and Sania Mirza have all come together and have asked support for the state of Kerala and urged their fans to contribute towards the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).
