Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is celebrating his 24th birthday today. Bumrah, considered to be the Yorker Specialist of limited overs, got a good news right before his birthday. He was inducted as the fifth fast bowler for the South African tour in India's 17-man squad. Before this, Bumrah has played in ODIs and T20 matches from India. In both formats he has won the hearts of fans with his bowling.
Now, Bumrah is given this opportunity in the South African tour to be held in January next year. In 2013, hardly anyone would have been aware that this young boy playing with Mumbai Indians would be the bright spot of Indian cricket so early. Bumrah was born in Ahmedabad on December 6, 1993. Father late Jasbir Singh had his own business, while mother Daljeet was the principal in primary school. When he was only 7 years old, his father died.
Bumrah played his debut match in the IPL against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 4, 2013 by Mumbai Indians. In his first match, he got 3 runs off 32 balls.
