In the Indian Premier League Season 11, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will play for Kings XI Punjab. In the auction process that started from Saturday (January 27), Punjab bought him for Rs 7.6 crore. Ashwin was earlier associated with the Chennai Super Kings. On behalf of Chennai, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had said that he wants to see Ashwin once again in the CSK jersey. However, Chennai did not show interest in buying Ashwin in the auction. When selected for Punjab, Ashwin tweeted, “The auction is always a house of casino, I am happy that @lionsdenkxip will be my new home and thank you so much @ChennaiIPL for all the great memories. #IPLAuction”
