Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians in an exceptionally exciting match played yesterday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The win was a terrific one but was not certainly a certain one. There were moments of doubts for both the teams as each one of them kept punching the other in the face.
Rajasthan had various individual performances that added to their final victory. Sanju Samson added 52 crucial runs to the board and took Rajasthan to safety.
However, it was Krishnappa Gowtham's quintessential innings that steered RR to victory. He hit 33 runs in only 11 balls. Also, he hit the six when Rajasthan Royals needed 6 runs off 4 balls.
But apart from some lusty blows from Gowtham, Hardik Pandya on the other hand almost knocked off the umpire with his shot during Mumbai Indians batting in the first innings. It was during the 19th over of the match when Hardik Pandya was trying up the run rate. While doing so, Hardik hit one of the deliveries bowled by Jofra Archer with brutal force that went straight to the umpire's body. However, Umpire proved to be alert enough to dodge the ball. Nonetheless, the shot made Umpire almost lick the ground.
