Delhi Daredevils defeated Rajasthan Royals in the rain interpreted match in the 11th season of Indian Premier League (IPL). The Shreyas Iyer led team defeated Ajinkya Rahane's team by 4 runs. Due to rain Rajasthan Royals got the target of 151 runs in 12 overs but RR failed to achieve as they were just able to make 146 runs.
With this Delhi Daredevils continues its hope to stay in the race of playoffs, Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane chose to bowl first after winning the toss. However, rain arrived and the match got delayed for some time and it started again after one and half hour. This became the reason when the referee decided to reduce overs and set 18 overs for both innings.

However, it looks like that the train didn't come in the path of Delhi Daredevils batsmen as their players came to destroy the bowling line up of Rajasthan Royals. From Delhi Daredevils, Rishabh Pant made 69 runs on 29 balls, captain Shreyas Iyer made 50 runs and their innings helped DD to make 196 runs in 17.1 overs till the rain didn't interrupt the game.

This rain again affected the match and Rajasthan Royals got the target of 151 runs in 12 overs. From Rajasthan Royals side, Jos Butler made 67 runs in 26 balls but his that inning didn't help the team Rajasthan Royals to win the match. Buttler started aggressively from Rajasthan side and there was a time when it looked that RR will easily win the match.
With this win, Delhi Daredevils is once again in the race of entering the playoffs but let's see will they repeat the same performance in upcoming matches also or not.
