India vs South Africa: Virat Kohli displays sportsman spirit on the field, gets praise from opposition player

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is often known for his aggressive attitude on the field. There is always a new kind of enthusiasm seen in Kohli when it comes to celebrate any wicket fall of opposition. Even on the first day of the second Test against South Africa, when Indian bowlers were dismissed by South African batsmen, they were celebrating it on the field differently. Meanwhile, South African opener Aiden Markram missed out his third century, as Ashwin dismissed him for 94.

Markram hit 15 boundaries in his 150-ball innings. After Markram was dismissed, Virat Kohli rushed towards him and praised his innings. Virat Kohli told Markram, “Well played, you were unlucky to get out”.

Captain Kohli praised Markram at such a time when the Indian team had a wicket requirement. At that point of time Virat was disturbed because of not getting wickets. However, on this pitch helping the fast bowlers, Ashwin has done amazingly. After the match Markram praised Ashwin He said that we were not expecting that the Indian team would play with the spinner on this field.

While thanking Kohli for appreciating his knock, Markram said, “Even if we were ended the day two down, I still would have been disappointed. It was a bit of a nothing shot. I am not over it just yet. My next role is to try and save runs in the field and do what ever I can before we stuck in again. Probably be on in a positive space.”

For both the teams, Sunday, is going to be very important. If the South African team tries to score more and more on the board then the Indian bowler will want to get the wickets as soon as possible. On the first day South Africa has scored 269 runs in the 90 overs, losing six wickets.
