Faf du Plessis led South Africa is facing a huge crisis after they lost their key fast bowler Dale Steyn to an injury and their another pacer Lungi Ngidi’s inclusion in today’s match is doubtful. Hashim Amla faced a head injury in the first match against England and did not play their second game. His presence in playing XI is also under clouds.
South Africa lost their first two games of the tournament and will look to give their 100 percent in this match against India as they have nothing to lose. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is all set to play his 50th one-day international match today.
India and South Africa have met four times in the World Cup since 1992 and South Africa came out victorious in three occasions while India won one match in 2015.
