Shikher Dhawan became the sixth batsman and the first Indian batsman in the history of the Test match to score a hundred before lunch on Day 1 of a Test match. Before Dhawan Victor Trumper, Charlie Macartney, Don Bradman, Majid Khan and David Warner already achieved this feat.
Shikher Dhawan torned up and demolarised hefty spin department including Afghanistani Spinner Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, their trump card and mystery spinner.
The left-hander., Dhawan brought hits his hundred in just 87 balls which includes 19 boundaries and three sixes after he got a reprieve early on in his innings.
From Mahammad Kaif to Akash Chopra everyone hails the performance of Shikhar Dhawan's knock and here is how Twitter reacted to Dhawan’s blistering knock
That’s a gabbar knock @SDhawan25 hundred before lunch on Day 1 of the historic Test. Make it big now. #INDvAFG

What a day for @SDhawan25. 1st Indian to a century before lunch on day 1. Only five before him in history. Reminds me so much of that test in Galle where he got 190 before tea.

This is why Dhawan keeps presenting himself as a tempting option to open the innings in Tests....only 6th player to score a century before lunch in Tests. Well played 🏏😊 #IndvAfg
