India's new batting coach Vikram Rathour has an idea to solve No. 4 crisis

Former Indian cricketer Vikram Rathour, who has been recently appointed as the batting coach for the Indian cricket team has showed his concern over middle order batting crisis. Rathour said that the opening slot and middle order is a big concern for him.

“The middle-order in one-day is not doing well and we must, of course, sort it out… The other area of concern is the opening partnership in Tests. We have options and there is healthy competition. We need to find a way for them to be more consistent,” Rathour told the BCCI’s official website.

According to Rathour, Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey can solve India’s No. 4 batting crisis which has been a national debate for a last couple of months. “Shreyas Iyer has done well in the last couple of games and we also have Manish Pandey. These two guys have done very well in domestic cricket and with India A. These are the batters who are capable of doing the job and I have no doubt about it in my mind,” Rathour said.

Vikram Rathour replaced Sanjay Bangar as India’s new batting coach and says that he has great camaraderie with head coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli.
