Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team clinched a huge 304-run victory against Sri-Lanka on Day 4 of Galle Test on 29 July and registered lead in the three match Test series by 1-0.
With the victory, Kohi equaled the record of former skipper Rahul Dravid for most overseas Test victories as Indian captain. Kohli, who has five overseas wins registered in his name, is now just one behind ex-captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Dhoni has a record of winning six overseas Test matches.
One of the most successful Indian captains, Sourav Ganguly leads the list with an impressive record of 11 overseas victories.
The second Test match against Sri-Lanka will begin on 3 August at Colombo and the third one will be played at Balagolla on 12 August.
India dominated the hosts throughout the first match as the team went on to ink its biggest win on foreign land since 1986.
