Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has been reported for a suspect bowling action during the first ODI between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, reported news agency ANI. The 33-year-old cricketer will now have to undergo testing within 14 days. However, Rayudu is permitted to bowl in international cricket until the results of the tests are out.
“Ambati Rayudu has been reported with a suspect bowling action during the first ODI against Australia in Sydney on Saturday. Match officials’ report, which was handed over to the India team management, cited concerns about the legality of his bowling action,” ICC said in a statement.

Part-time bowler Rayudu, who rarely bowls, was handed over the ball at the SCG by Virat Kohli as India didn't play Kedar Jadhav. Well, he bowled only two overs conceding 13 runs without picking up a wicket. As per reports, Rayudu was seen bowling with a reworked action against Australia in Sydney.
Rayudu’s bowling being under scanner comes as a huge blow for the country.
"The match officials' report, which was handed over to the India team management, cited concerns about the legality of the 33-year-old off-spinner's bowling action," stated an ICC release.
"Rayudu's bowling action will now be scrutinised further under the ICC process relating to suspected illegal bowling actions reported in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He is required to undergo testing within 14 days, and, during this period, Rayudu is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the testing are known," the release further stated.
