Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed makes bold prediction after Pakistan’s win over New Zealand

Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is adamant that his team will win their remaining two group stage clashes and will make it to the semi finals of the ICC World Cup 2019.

The Pakistani team defeated New Zealand by six wickets at Edgbaston on Wednesday. The win also brought an end to New Zealand’s winning streak in the ongoing edition of the World Cup, prior to this clash, the black caps had won five out of their six outings, although their match against India was abandoned due to rain.

The men in green will face Afghanistan in their next World Cup match on Saturday at Headingley. After which Sarfaraz led Pakistan will go face to face with Bangladesh on June 5th at Lord’s cricket ground.

Nevertheless, even if Pakistan do win both their matches, it might fall a bit short for them to get into the last four as they will have to depend on the results of other teams.

Notwithstanding that, skipper Sarfaraz still remain confident of his team reaching the semi finals.

“We are very confident and hopefully we will do very well in the next two matches,” he was quoted as saying,” Sarfaraz said.
