Pakistan’s bowling legend Aaqib Javed is of the opinion that there could be a rift within the Pakistan team between skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, head coach Mickey Arthur and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.
This year Pakistan’s performance in the ODI’s has not been the one to remember with 3-2 defeat to South Africa, whitewashed 5-0 by Australia and demolished 4-0 by England before coming to this World Cup.
Their spate of poor performance in the field has followed them to the World Cup, with just one win in their five matches so far.
With reports suggesting that Sarfraz Ahmed could be sacked from captaincy, and Mickey Aurther and Inzamam will be redundent from their current role, Javed believes that relation between the trio has become frosty.
“There is no harmony between coach, captain and chief selector,” said Aaqib Javed.
Pakistan will face South Africa in their next World Cup match on Sunday at Lord’s.
