Pakistan minister slams MS Dhoni for supporting Indian Army through 'balidan' crest on gloves

MS Dhoni’s wicket keeping gloves with the regimental dagger emblem of the Indian Para Special Forces has spawned an uproar in the cricketing fraternity with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry now criticising the former indian skipper.

Fawad Chudhry, tweeted on social media expressing his view on the situation and lambasted the Indian media for discussing on the matter.

"Dhoni is in England to play cricket not to for MahaBharta , what an idiotic debate in Indian Media,a section of Indian media is so obsessed with War they should be sent to Syria, Afghanistan Or Rawanda as mercenaries," Fawad Chaudhry tweeted.

The Army crest on Dhoni’s gloves was spotted during India’s match against South Africa in the World Cup 2019 when television replays showed him stumping Andile Phehlukwayo.

Before long, the picture of Dhoni’s gloves went viral on social media and fans poured in love and respect for the 37 year old.

As per the ICC rules "equipment and clothing regulations do not permit the display of messages that relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes during an international match."

The ICC then went on to ask the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to get the symbol removed from the gloves.
