Steve Smith, who was the captain of Australia during the ball tampering controversy which happened last year. In the match against india at the Oval on Sunday, Smith was booed, with chants of cheater while he was fielding at third man, Indian all rounder had just been dismissed, and the crowed tried to get under Smith’s skin with the chants.

Meanwhile Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed clamed that his team fans won’t boo Steve Smith like the way Indian fans did. Pakistan will face Australia in a World Cup 2019 match at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, on Wednesday.

“I don’t think Pakistani fans will do thatPakistani people love cricket, they love to support and they love the players,” said Sarfaraz.

Virat Kohli, who was batting at that stage, gestured the section of fans not to do so, he instead made a clap gesture and pointed towards Steve Smith. The Indian captain also did the same when Smith walked past, as both the players shook hands.

As large chunks of Pakistani fans are expected to turnout in Taunton, in a clash against the Aussies, there are fears that they might do the same thing as the Indian fans did and give a tough time to Smith and Warner.

Pakistan are currently at the eight spot in the points table with just three points in three games.

After their horrible display of performance against the Windies in their campaign opener, the 1992 champions came out as much improved side and defeated the host England.

However they were left frustrated as their match against Sri Lanka was washed out, with both the teams losing points.
