Here's why Jacques Kallis sported half beard, half clean-shaven look

Former South Africa all rounder Jacques Kallis surprised his fans as he shared a picture of himself sporting half beard and half clean shaven look.

In his post, the 44 year old gave an explanation saying that he did so in order to raise funds for Rhinos and golf development. Kallis also noted that he will be sporting this look "till end of November". Sharing pictures on social media, the former all-rounder wrote: "Going to be an interesting few days”.

Kallis also went on to mention that his audacious attempt helped them augment 4,80,000 rand in charity.

"R480k raised for SAGB for shaving half my Movember till end of November," Kallis wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Movember is an once a year event where men grow their facial hair during the month of November to raise awareness about men’s health.

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen, who himself is a huge supporter of Rhinos conservation and an passionate golfer, was among many who gave Kallis a thumbs up. Praising the South African, Pietersen wrote, “Sober!”.

Without wasting much time, fans poured in congratulatory messages. Some fans even went on to write that the dual look reminds them of his playing days.
