Indian skipper Virat Kohli was the star attraction at the BCCI Annual Awards function in Bengaluru as he received the prestigious Polly Umrigar Trophy for best international cricketer for the 2017-18 seasons on Tuesday. Virat Kohli has been in phenomenal form for the last two seasons.

To make the night more special, the Indian skipper was accompanied by wife Anushka Sharma. Indian run-machine Virat Kohli was presented with the award by national coach Ravi Shastri in in presence of his wife Anushka Sharma.
After recieving the award Kohli cited that "My wife is here today so makes it more special. The awards didn't happen last year but I am glad they didn't because she is here now."
Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma's face was full of smiles as her husband Virat Kohli took to the stage and recieved the prestigious award.
“Following his phenomenal show in the past two seasons, Team India captain Virat Kohli will be presented with the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2016-17 and 2017-18) at the BCCI Awards to be held in Bengaluru on June 12,” the BCCI stated.
Virat Kohli had a stunning 2016-17 season, where he scored 1332 runs in 13 Tests games at an average of 74, while in 27 ODIs he amassed 1516 runs at an average of 84.22 for during the period. In the six Tests games played in the 2017-18 seasons, Kohli scored 896 runs at an average of 89.6 where as ODI average stands at 75.50.
