Here's what Hasan Ali has to say about speculations of him marrying an Indian girl

Pakistan cricketer Hasan Ali in response to the reports claiming that he is all set to tie knot with an Indian girl named Shamia Arzoo, who hails from Haryana’s Mewat district. However Hasan Ali has now clarified on Twitter saying that the wedding is not yet confirmed.

The reports suggested that Shamia’s family is set to travel to Dubai and the wedding will happen at the Atlantis Palm Hotel. Nevertheless, Hasam Ali has said that the two families are yet to meet and he will be making a public announcement soon if every thing goes well. Not long ago Hasan Ali was part of the Pakistan team in the ICC World Cup 2019.


“Just wanna clarify my wedding is not confirmed yet, our families have yet to meet and decide upon it. will make a public announcement very soon in sha allah. #gettingreadyforfamilymeetup”, the Pakistan pacer wrote in a tweet, clearing the air over the speculations on his marriage.

 

Shamia Arzoo is a flight engineer and has a B.Tech (Aeronautical) degree from Manav Rachna University of Haryana. At present, she is an employee of a leading Airlines. The marriage is most likely to happen in Dubai where the two families will be meeting in the coming days.

However, Hasan Ali will not be the first Pakistani cricketer to marry an Indian girl as there have been few cricketers from the other side of the border who have found love in India. Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik is married to Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and the couple stays in Dubai.

Notwithstanding that, Hasan Ali didn’t have a World Cup to remember as Pakistan failed to qualify for the knockout stage, Pakistan cumulated just 11 points in nine matches with five wins, three defeats and a draw.

Hasan Ali featured in four games in the World Cup where he took three wickets while giving away 256 runs in 38 overs. He has so far played 53 ODIs and nine Test for the men in green with 88 wickets to his name. He also has 35 wickets in 30 T20Is for Pakistan.
