Hardik Pandya jots positive message for fans after successful back surgery

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, went through a successful surgery to treat his lower back, which ruled him out from South Africa’s tour of India.

Earlier, the 25 year old shared a picture on Instagram and captioned it: "Surgery done successfully. Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes. Will be back in no time! Till then miss me."


Pandya on Wednesday flew to the United Kingdom to get his lower back fixed by the same doctor who attended him during India’s tour of England in 2018 and ICC World Cup 2019. The all-rounder last played for India in the three match T20I series against the Proteas where he worsened his injury.

Hardik Pandya will also be missing from the T20I series against Bangladesh, starting 3rd November.

The all-rounder has featured in 11 Tests, 54 ODIs and 40 T20Is and will playing an improtant role for the men in blue in the T20I World Cup next year in Australia.

Hardik Pandya first picked up his injury during the Asia Cup in UAE last year. He recuperated in time to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the ICC World Cup 2019 in England before the injury resurfaced.
