Happy Birthday Sir Don Bradman: Google pays tribute to Australian cricket legend on 110th birth anniversary with doodle 

Google dedicated a doodle on its homepage to former Australian cricketer Sir Donald George Bradman on his 110th birth anniversary on Monday. Sir Don Bradman is considered as the world’s greatest cricketer in the history of cricket. 

Google wrote on its blog, "A hero to Australian cricket fans, Sir Donald George Bradman, affectionately known as “The Don,” is considered the greatest batsman of all time."

Australia's greatest batsman Don Bradman made his debut as a 19-year-old in a first-class match between his New South Wales team and Adelaide. He scored a 118 runs in his very first match.

With a lifetime Test batting average of 99.4, he continues to hold a number of records, including highest career batting average, highest series batting average, highest ratio of centuries and double centuries per innings played, among others.

In 52 Test matches, Bradman scored 6996 runs with an brilliant batting average of 99.94 with 29 tons and and 13 half centuries to his name.

Sachin Tendulkar has recalled the moment when he met the legendary Australian cricketer. He took twitter and wrote- “It’s been 20 years since I met the inspirational Sir #DonBradman but that special memory is so vivid. I still recall his amazing wit, warmth, and wisdom. Remembering him fondly today, on what would have been his 110th birthday,” wrote Sachin on his Twitter handle.
