The Delhi Police registered a case against former Indian cricketer turned politician Manoj Prabhakar, his wife, son and two others for cheating and trespassing. The complaint was lodged by Sandhya Sharma who currently lives in London. She owns an apartment in the same building where Mr Prabhakar lives with his family.
Manoj Prabhakar was an all-rounder in the Indian cricket team. He featured in 39 Tests and 130 ODIs in which he amassed more than 3,400 runs and scalped 253 wickets. Post retirement, he turned into a politician and currently is a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

According to Sandhya’s complaint, she owns an apartment on the second floor of the building in Sarvapriya Vihar in south Delhi which was bought by her husband in 1995. They resided there till 2006 after which they shifted to London. After that, the apartment was occupied by her relatives, however they vacated the place in 2018.
But, recently she came to know from people that someone is living in that apartment. In order to check, Sandhya came back but was not allowed to enter her own apartment. Sandhya also reported that she has been getting death threats.
“The woman claimed that when she tried to raise the issue, she was threatened with dire consequences. She claimed that her flat was encroached upon by Prabhakar and others on the basis of forged documents,” the lady said as quoted by Times of India.
