The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab witnessed a first time record in the Indian Premier League history. Opening bowlers Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Arshdeep Singh conceded 100 plus runs in an innings when they gave 66 and 42 runs respectively.

Spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s bowling figure read 66 runs from four overs, which is the most expensive bowling figure of IPL 2019 and the joint second most expensive figures overall. Mujeeb shares the shameful record with Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, who went for 66 runs in May 2013 against Chennai Super Kings.

Basil Thampi of Sunrisers Hyderabad hold the most expensive bowling figure as he conceded 70 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in May 2018.

As far as the match is concerned, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kings XI Punjab by 45 runs. Batting first, Hyderabad scored 212 runs from 20 overs with David Warner playing his last match of the season scoring 81 runs off 56 balls. Opener Wriddhiman Saha smashed 28 off just 13 balls while in form Manish Pandey hit 36 runs off 25 balls.

In reply, KL Rahul scored 79 off 56 balls while Mayank Agarwal and Nicholas Pooran scored 27 and 21 runs respectively. Punjab could only score 167 runs from 20 overs as they were not looking in the race from the start of the second innings.

Hyderabad now has 12 points to their name and sits at number four on the points table, while Punjab with 10 points sits at number six on the points table.
