England skipper Eoin Morgan creates history in one-day international cricket after he smashed 17 sixes in an innings. Morgan achieved this feat in a match against Afghanistan in World Cup 2019. Indian opener Rohit Sharma, former South Africa cricketer AB de Villiers and West Indies superstar Chris Gayle jointly held the record of most sixes in ODI cricket before as they had smashed 16 sixes in an innings.
England’s Eoin Morgan played an explosive cricket after he came down to bat at number four. England was comfortably cruising at 164-2 when Morgan started his onslaught. Morgan scored the fastest century of World Cup 2019 off just 57 balls. Morgan went on to score 148 runs before he was dismissed by Gulbadin Naib. Morgan scored at a strike rate of 208.45 with 4 boundaries and a record 17 maximums.

England posted the highest total of World Cup 2019 as they scored 397-6 from 50 overs. England broke their own record of 386 runs which they scored against Bangladesh in this World Cup. Moeen Ali came and finished things off with his 9 balls 31 runs which included 4 sixes and 1 four. Jonny Bairstow scored 90 runs off 99 balls while Joe Root scored 88 off 82 balls.
