Delhi Capitals' first IPL title win in danger as Kagiso Rabada ruled out

Kagiso Rabada, the highest wicket-taker of Indian Premier League 2019 has been ruled out of the tournament due to back niggle. Cricket South Africa has called back the fast bowler to take precautionary measure ahead of upcoming World Cup.

Rabada played his last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore after which he expressed his discomfort. Rabada did not play against Chennai Super Kings which Delhi Capitals lost by 80 runs.
Delhi Capitals have already qualified for the play-offs.


Rabada has 25 wickets from the 12 matches he played in IPL 2019 and holds the purple cap. Rabada will miss Capitals’ last league match against Rajasthan Royals. Rabada is a key player for South Africa and his role in the World Cup is much needed.

Kagiso Rabada is the fourth bowler from the South African squad who got injured before the World Cup. Dale Steyn injured his shoulder as his IPL stint ended prematurely, Lungi Ngidi had a side strain before the tournament began. Anrich Nortje also injured his shoulder before IPL started.
