David Warner welcomes teammate Mitchell Starc to SunRisers Hyderabad with Instagram post

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, who had choose to stay out of Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL), was wlecomed to the Sunrisers Hyderabad by his teammate David Warner in an Instagram post. Following Australia’s win over New Zealand in the first Test on Sunday, Warner posted a picture with Starc and his SRH teammate Kane Williamson on his Instagram story, and captioned the post, "Welcome to the @sunrisershyd @mstarc56".

The Australian pacer had chosen to stay out of the IPL last year as well.


England’s Joe Root had also made himself unavailable for the IPL 2020 auction. A total of 332 players will be up for grabs during the auction.

Mitchell Starc was the highest wicket taker in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups. He has played 85 ODIs, scalping 172 wickets, at an average of 20.99. he has the best bowling figures of 6 for 28 in this format.

Starc has also played 28 T20I matches and picked up 39 wickets at an average of 18,41. he has featured in 27 IPL games and averages 13.71.

He will be next seen during the second Test against New Zealand at the MCG, starting 26th December.
