David Warner and his Australian team-mates have not yet reached England but they are already being trolled online. England cricket team fan group ‘England’s Barmy Army’ doctored some images from Australian team’s photo shoot and replaced Australia with ‘Cheats’ on their t-shirt.
The fan group also edited Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc’s picture and replaced the ball with sand papers. The brutal jibe was not received well on social media when some of the fans did not take the post too kindly.

Australian coach Justin Langer reacted to the post and said, “we’re ready for it.” We are not going to be rattled by a hostile reception. It doesn’t matter if we are under siege the moment we get off the plane. We are ready for it.
Australia’s David Warner, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft were banned for tampering with ball in an away Test match against South Africa. The infamous sand paper scandal left the trio out of their national team for a year. David Warner returned to international cricket with a bang as he scored 692 runs in the Indian Premier League 2019. Steve Smith too got his captaincy back in the world’s most lucrative cricketing league.
The rivalry between England and Australia is more than 130 years old as they have been locking horns in the Ashes since 1800s. After the World Cup ends, Australia and England will play the Ashes in August.
