CSK vs SRH: The clash of the titans, will CSK confirm their place in the playoffs?

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings will clash in the match 46 of Indian Premier League. The tournament has come to a decisive point from where a win or a loss can decide the fate of the teams if they will be a part of the playoffs or not. Interestingly, this is not the case with CSK or SRH, the two teams being at the top of the points table.

The Sunrisers are the only team to have secured a berth in the playoffs so far. Having won 9 of the 11 matches, with 18 points in their kitty they are certain to advance to the next level. The team have won their last 6 matches back to back, their best ever performance. In their most recent outing, they chased down 188 against the Delhi Daredevils pretty convincingly.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have been among the favourites since the start of the tournament and they proved it why they are being considered one of the top contenders of the title.

The Chennai meanwhile seem to have lost the momentum after putting a pretty decent performance in the tournament. In their last match against Rajasthan Royals, they posted 176-4 despite a not too convincing performance with the bat but failed to defend it.

CSK have several players in form now – Suresh Raina the latest to make a substantial contribution with the bat. The bowlers could do better on the discipline front though; the CSK skipper admitted after the previous match that the bowlers did not execute as planned and hence conceded plenty of boundaries.

It will be interesting to see how the top two performers of the league play against each other. The match is sure going to be an exciting affair between bat and ball.
