The 5th match of the IPL season 11 is between MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Dinesh Karthik's the Kolkata Knight Riders at Chidambaram international stadium in Chennai. The match is scheduled to start at 8 pm on Tuesday, but before the match starts, there have been some threats has been observed. In fact, from longtime in Chennai, the protest has been made against the IPL match organized in Chennai. The Cauvery river protesters have now come up with threatening the organizers to leave snakes in the stadium to stop the match.

The professor Tamil leader Velamurugan says that tribals who are protesting outside the stadium for the IPL will leave the snake inside the stadium during the match.

The police force is stationed on every road leading up to Chidambaram stadium. Taking the action against the threats, many protestors have been held by the cops. Several posters have been installed around the stadium by the protesters. In the posters, it is written that all the people come to protest against the Kaveri Management Board failure in Cauvery river row, against the central government and against the IPL to be held at 5.00 in the evening.

Even earlier, Velamurugan had stated that he would not allow organizing the IPL match in Chennai. However, strict security arrangements have been made in both places inside and outside the stadium. A large number of the police force have been deployed in Chennai.

The posters also have the picture the IPL teams captain. Protesters say when the farmers of the state are facing many problems, the IPL should not be organized in the state. People are angry about the Cauvery water dispute, so at this time organizing this game is not right.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has appealed to people and issued an advisory that they should not protest during the cricket match. The Cricket Association has also barred the use of cell phones and posters for the people coming to see the match.
