The Indian fans and cricket fraternity is in complete awe of MS Dhoni after he helped India to a historic bilateral series win in Australia with hat-tricks of half-centuries. The former India captain also won his first Man of the series award after 7 years. The last time he won the award was in 2011 India vs England, home series.
But before taking the award, MS Dhoni gave his fans something more to cheer about with his hilarious comment. With the match ball in his hand, Dhoni was shaking hands with his teammates and coaching staff. However, when batting coach Sanjay Bangar came in front of him, Dhoni handed the ball to him and hilariously said, “Ball uthaya toh bolega retirement ke liye uthaya hai ye to (If I keep the ball everyone will start saying I am retiring).”
It should be remembered that Dhoni had sparked retirement rumours after taking the ball from the umpire following the third ODI against last year. He had performed miserably in that series and many felt that Dhoni was about to bring down curtains on his career. Later, head coach Ravi Shastri had quashed the speculations.
See #Dhoni when gave ball to the coach and said " Ball lelo nahi to bolega retirement lerahe ho" 😂

This was first time in 71 years that a travelling Indian team has won a Test and ODI series in Australia. India also became the first Asian team to win a Test series on Australian soil. The Indian team won the Test series by 2-1 and the ODI series by 2-1 as well. Late last year, the T20I series was levelled at 1-1.
