Ball Tampering Scandal: Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting holds Coach Lehmann responsible

The incident that ashamed the world of cricket has taken another turn. One of the prime accused, David Warner has taken a big step that may prove to be significant in his career. Cricket Australia has suspended David Warner for one year along with Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft. Bancroft, the player tasked with tampering has been banned for a period of 9 months.

Additionally, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft have already taken the decision to not appeal against the said ban. The former Australian skipper Steve Smith has already made it clear that he completely accepts the judgment of Cricket Australia and would not appeal for a re-look despite the Association of Cricketers of Australia terming the one-year ban too harsh.

Former Australian Skipper Ricky Ponting has already called the ban imposed on the accused players right. He has also accused team's coach Lehmann as the prime accused in the tampering fiasco.

Now after some time David Warner has also come out and expressed his acceptance to the ban slapped on him by Cricket Australia. He further said, I am very sorry for what has happened and I am ready to do everything it takes to become a good human being.

Interestingly, Steve Smith and Bancroft have already announced about their acceptance to serve the one-year ban and to not appeal against it. This means that the three players will not be able to make a comeback in International cricket before one-year.
