In the first home game of Kolkata Knight Riders against Sunrisers Hyderabad, KKR had a special guest at the Eden Gardens. Harshul Goenka, a cricket fan, who is affected by cerebral palsy, was present at the ground to cheer for his favorite team. Harshul remains present at every KKR home game and one of the players go to greet him after the match.

This time it was Andre Russell’s turn, who was also the man of the match for the game as he scored 49 off just 19 balls to take Kolkata to a emphatic win against Hyderabad by 6 wickets. The Caribbean cricketer went to meet Harshul after the match and he hugged him and gifted the award to the fan. The video of the sweet gesture by Russell was shared by Kolkata Knight Riders’ Twitter handle:

Kolkata Knight Riders will play Chennai Super Kings at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium today at 8:00 pm. Kolkata is sitting at the top of the points table, while Chennai is at number two. Both the teams have played five matches so far and have eight points to their name. Kolkata is on top because of their higher net run rate.

Kolkata have won their last two matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. Chennai have won their last match against Kings XI Punjab, while lost the match before that against Mumbai Indians. It would be interesting to see who would grab the top spot after today’s match in Chennai.
