South African pacer Dale Steyn is slowly confirming his place for the Cricket World Cup 2019 that will take place in England and Wales. Steyn payed a three-match Test series against Pakistan after which he was rested for the first two ODIs. The Proteas brought him back for the third ODI at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
However, it is Dale Steyn’s mother who is making the headlines for her comical behaviour. Steyn took to his Instagram account to reveal that his mother wished him for the third ODI against Pakistan, a day after the match got over. Steyn Shared a screenshot of his WhatsApp conversation with his mother, wherein she had written, “Good luck for today my babe,” to which Steyn replied, “Thanx mom, we played yesterday.”
As far as the third ODI is concerned Dale Steyn picked up a crucial wicket of Babar Azam who scored 72 balls 69 runs. He also got rid of Hasan Ali in the death overs. Dale registered a bowling figure of 2/42 as Proteas went on to win the match. The Faf du Plessis led South African team now have a lead of 2-1 in the five-match ODI series.
