India and Afghanistan are currently battling it out in Southampton as the men in blue are trying to keep their 100 percent win ratio intact. Cricket is considered a gentleman sport and one Afghanistan fan proved it why.

The official twitter handle of Cricket World Cup posted a picture of an Afghanistan fan where the fan can be seen holding a banner reading, “I am Afghan by nature, Indian by friendship.” The Cricket World Cup handle captioned the picture, “#SpiritOfCricket.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) share good cricketing relations. The Afghanistan team’s official home ground is in the Indian city of Dehradun. And they also practice at Greater Noida cricket stadium as it is their another home ground. The official sponsor of Afghanistan cricket team in this World Cup is Indian dairy company ‘Amul’ and their kit sponsor is Indian sporting company ‘Tyka’.

Afghanistan is chasing a low target of 224 runs after their bowlers restricted India under 225 runs. This was the first time when the Indian batting attack was tested to its full. Every batsman in the team struggled except for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who scored a fluent half-century of 67 runs.
